building your online business....
SkipMBA was created to allow people to take their education in their own hands.
We believe in a self-paced & self-directed education.
Step 1 - Pick A Book
- Refer to the SkipMBA Reading List and pick a book from one of the categories
- Don't worry about which book to pick. Pick any - the goal is to get through them all anyway.
NOTE:
If your goal is to increase your business expertise, then a good tip is to read the first book from each category. After you're done, pick the second book from each category. Repeat the process until you're finished the list.
Step 2 - Pick A Free Course
- Refer to the Free Course List.
- Pick a course to match the book you are reading.
- The course does not have to be an exact match.
NOTE:
We will be using the course as supplemental studying. The professors will help frame the ideas you learn. But your readings will be where you get most your knowledge.
Step 3 - Setup A Portfolio
- Reading is not enough.
- A portfolio will crystallize your knowledge and prove your knowledge to employers
- Create either a Blog OR a YouTube channel.

NOTE:
If starting a YouTube channel is scary, then you can start off with a blog.
I definitely recommend a blog. A blog is like a super-resume - and has helped me land my dream job.
Step 4 - Build Your Portfolio
- Document your self-directed journey via posts or videos.
- Share what you've learned. Write short summaries.
- Reflect your thoughts and critiques (You don't have to agree with every author!)
- Share your posts with the SkipMBA Facebook Group!

Final Step - Build A Business - without inventory!
- Create a small but simple eCommerce business!
- Learn the workflow of a business.
- We will be using dropshipping or a fulfilment service for this. (How-To-Tutorials on this will be ready soon)
- Try to make your first sale!
NOTE:
Don't feel too intimidated here. I will walk you through the steps.
The goal is to get exposure to various aspects of a business (Marketing, Sales, Finance) without having to create the product.
